Birthday Wishes;-)

Wishing you a Happy & Great Birthday! Also, wishing you for a great success in Chandramukhi.

The Lunch - Munch

Today, during the lunch time there was a hot discussion going on about the Big - B's in the industry. That time one of them was saying that the Forbes magazine has shown that when they add the money of all the 12 richest people in Asia, its not equal to what Bill Gates has. Yes, I do admit that. But, if we look into the business model then we may probably understand why he is.

Most of our Asian's richest people are holding manufacturing industry. Here for every product to be sold there are many cost involved. Raw materials, Human resources, Manufacturing, Machines, Sales, Marketing & so on.. This is repetative & if more is to be manufactered then more cost is to be spent for the manufaturing.

If we look at the software business model the human resources & computer's are the main manufacturing cost involved. Also, once the product is done & ready for sale. There are no more cost to be spent for more sales. In the sense as in our OOPS concept, the reusability of the product is done & sold to different customers. The same code is sold to various customers all around the world. Which means one product but different copies. So, additionally only CD cost is required. In this scenario Bill gates would be definetely in the lead, happens ;-)

Funny Ads ;-)

Recently, when I passed by the cathedral road, Chennai I had a chance of looking into a hoarding which projects about a product that made me to laugh to the core. Presently, the ads for alcoholic drinks has to be done in a indirect way. In the sense the ad should not visually project the alcoholic product. But they can market in a different way so that children do not get to know these things thru the ads directly. So, Johny walker - a famous alcoholic drink had marketed in a different way in the hoarding. The hoarding was like this - the Johny walker symbol was going against the direction board & below at the end of the board it said Johny walker - Business Case Studies.

One more ad that needs an appreciation is Saint Gobain Glass product ad. In the recent ad of it, one small boy walks into the rest room. He ends up in front of the mirror thinking the cascade is present over there. Finally, a man comes & lifts him up to the opposite direction meaning the otherside is the real one. The creativity is good & able to reach into people's mind about their product.

Nice Articles!

The latest edition of Junior Vikatan magazine which is famous for publishing political news has published an article on India Shining. The article starts with an appreciation to our P.M. Manmohan singh for bringing globalization & liberlization in India in his earlier term as Finance minister.

Then, it starts of with 3 things that everyone uses daily in the morning. Tooth paste, News paper & Tea. I was wondering what's this & the relation of these with India shining. Further, it specified that an Indian company is the largest manufaturer of the tube that holds the tooth paste, an Indian company is the largest manufacturer of printing ink used for printing new papers, an Indian company is the largest manufacturer of tea leaf. Then, it goes into the recent developments in automobiles, Information Technology & hardware manufacturing industries & the contribution of Indian manufactures in it. The article was interesting & an unexpected one from Junior vikatan magazine. Finally, it concludes that the growth of India is amazing & the future looks greener. Read here more on this.

Also, today morning in Daily Thanthi news paper there was an a article on Hinduism. The main theme of the article is what is Hinduism, how it evolved & how music, mantras, vedhas come into existence. This one was a surprise for me from a news paper which focus more on cinema & general news. The article starts with the basic element of every organism in the world - Cell. The reactions of it & how Hinduism co-relates with it. The article was a nice one at this scenario since, many Hindus were hurt by the recent arrest of religous heads. I am in search of the link for it & provide the link here once I get it.

Jayendra Saraswati arrest - a Mystery

Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham has been arrested & taken into police custody for interrogation in a murder case. The issue is in the court & I am not going to dwell on this issue. But there are numerous rumours spreading across & the media is tightly focussing the issue. Some of the rumours on the arrest are listed below :

1. The Kanchi seer could have done the crime due to the enemity with Sankarraman.
2. This may be a planned one by the govt. to divert the people attention from Jayalakshmi case. Since, the case had caused total damage to the Police department & also the CM holds the Home ministery portfolio which indirectly affects her.
3. The Seer was the one who placed an alternate statue in Palani & after that JJ party lost all the 40 MP seats in an election.
4. This may be due to the people in the Mutt itself who are the opposers of Jayendra Saraswati.

All these are just rumours. But the truth will prevail in the end. To stop such things either the government has to release the evidences against him or the seer has to open up. Until then these would continue creating chaos & havoc in the public. I hope the issue would be resolved soon & the peace continues..

7G - Rainbow Colony - A colorful view !

Recently, I watched 7G - Rainbow Colony directed by Selvaraghavan, music by Yuvan shankar raja, starring Ravi krishna, Sonia agarwal , Suman shetty & Co. The movie is all about an hero who is a road-side romeo enjoying his college days with his friends & how he turns into a person who identifies the talent in him & becomes commited in his life. As the movie's caption "A boy turning into man" is the baseline of the story. The hero comes up in life because of the strong motivation & influence of the heroine whom he loves so much. The director had screen-played this story in a youthful way as he had done before. What happens to them is the final climax of the movie.

The hero Ravi krishna is a new face. He is the younger son of A.M.Ratnam [Sri Surya Movies] who is a famous producer & producer of this film too. He has done the job for what he is for. Yes, though he is a fresh entrant he had tried to fit into the character. Also, no styles with hsh..hsh.. sounds though his father is the producer. In future, if he cares for good stories & does the job then there is lot of hopes for him. The smile/blush that he gives looks cute.

Sonia agarwal is the heroine & should be said as the character around which the entire story revolves. She had performed well & has proved that she is not an ordinary heroine who comes for 2 dance numbers & just peeps into the screen. In many places of the movies she had made us to say aDa.. One major set back for her is she keeps her face always very sad as if she is in search of something. But we must credit her as a part of the movie success.

One more character who has done well is Vijayan who comes as the father of the hero. He has acted very close to a true middle class father who has high hopes on their sons & hopes for his success. One scene which I liked the most is the pre & post reaction's that he gives when the hero shows the appointment letter to him. The reason he gives to his wife why he scolds his son very badly & after wards when his wife tells him to sleep he says "Podi! En payan Hero Hondale velai pakaran" resembles a perfect match with all the middle class father's in reality.

Selvaraghavan as a director has already established himself as a different & interesting narrator from his previous ones [Thulluvadho Illamai, Kadhal kondein]. This is the third one & was watched with high expectations. He has not let down neither him nor us. The movie is a third consecutive hit for him & has become an inevitable person in the tamil cinema arena. Though, there are lot of scenes which he could have ignored like the ones where the hero scolds his father with bad words & smokes/drinks continously, he has done the job well. In an interview, he said that this is his own true story that happened. As in the movie, our hero selvaraghavan has also come up in life & wish him to reach great heights in future.

The music has to get a special mention. Yuvan shankar has played excellent numbers in the movie. The background scores & songs had come up very well. Specially, Kana kanum kalangal.. & Ninaithu Ninaithu.. are the top melody ones. The movie gets a new dimension from his music. kudos to Yuvan!

Suman shetty who acts as a friend to the hero in the movie also gets a pat on his back. He has not done any separate comedy track. He has done comedy along the movie flow & also turns into character artist on demand in the movie. The alarm clock scene & the dance that he does over the stage outburst the audience with laughter.

7G - Rainbow colony is a colorful one with tiny black patches in it !

Dreams - A nightmare !

Yesterday, I was figuring out to get tickets for any of the Diwali damaka releases. At Last, one of my friend got the tickets for Dreams starring Dhanush & directed by Kastooriraja [Father of Dhanush]. With a zeal went to the movie since, after Thiruda Thirudi he has not got a good break. Thought this might make it for him. But with a total disappointment & headache came out of the movie.

The opening of the film made me to think as though its going to be another Kadhal Kondein. But totally it let me down. The story is pretty simple Dhanush's father Pyramid Nataran understands todays youth generation & gives full liberty to his son on the other hand Diya's father Thalaivasal Vijay controls every activity of his daughter. Finally, what happens to these two characters is the Climax. From nowhere a new heroine would come into the picture & suddenly the hero would fall in love with her. There is nothing solid either in the story or the screen play. The director could have taken this story as a small serial in our satellite channels but not as a movie.

Dhanush has acted in the movie as though he has just come to while away his time. There is not even a single scene where he has proved or impressed the audience. The body language & expressions do not fit into the movie at all. If next movie goes the same then Dhanush has to be watched with our eyebrows up.

Other characters including the two heroines just pass away by our mind thats it. If one has to get a pat on the back in the movie then it is Pyramid Natarajan. He has done reasonably good & has done justice to the role he has taken in the movie.

Not a single song gets into your mind. You would appreciate to forget those numbers. I believe the director had tried something & had got something. At the end of the movie, the screen titled as Dreamt by Kastooriraja. But the audience wish to forget this Dream!

The Chennai City

Hey! pause here for a moment. This is the first post from me. I am a alien here but soon will be a citizen of bloggers [hope so.].I was just thinking where to start with.. for a positive note. Thought why don't I start with the place where I live. Yes, its about the Chennai what I saw & currently what am I seeing.

Chennai, the capital of Tamilnadu state & metro city has undergone lot of changes in the past couple of years. It has its own pride for many of the things it has in it like the famous beach, old temples & so on.. People in the villages rush in for jobs into the city with lots of dreams. This one line has been a story for many tamil cinemas. In short its Tamilnadu's America. As said in Radio mirchi [an radio FM channel] Chennai is Hot Machi!

The recent developments in Information Highway is enormous. The Navalur highway stretch has become favourite spot for many IT giants. Healthy competition is seen in textile business. Pothys, RMKV, Nalli, Kumaran.. are among the business. New radio FMs are been launched Radio Mirchi, Suryan FM. Coffee shops, restaurants with huge buildings have occupied the hot city. The city has flourished in many areas.

But still one has to never deny the big one? water ! Yes, the water scarcity has taken back many of the people's sleep. Still you can find people standing in queues for Metro-water lorry in streets at midnight. This one is a real scar for the city which had given life to many people. The population has increased. The demand & supply ratio doesn't match leading to inflation & great chaos.

I once dreamt that like petrol pumps we would have water pumps in the future. People coming to the water stations to fill their cans. Hope this horrible scenario doesn't come true. Let the dream be a dream itself. One more thing to be mentioned is the traffic & bad roads. Recently, I heard from someone that two foreign investors who had come down to start a IT business returned back due to the bad roads. Also, the traffic sense with the people is not that much appreciative. Hope that the City overcomes all these problems & shine well.
Hip Hip Chennai!!!

A self welcome note to myself & to all.

Congratulations !! This is the first blog that I am posting on the web. Thanks to the one who introduced me here & made me expose to the world. I hope that this blog receives a warm welcome from all & the support continues.
