Dreams - A nightmare !

Yesterday, I was figuring out to get tickets for any of the Diwali damaka releases. At Last, one of my friend got the tickets for Dreams starring Dhanush & directed by Kastooriraja [Father of Dhanush]. With a zeal went to the movie since, after Thiruda Thirudi he has not got a good break. Thought this might make it for him. But with a total disappointment & headache came out of the movie.

The opening of the film made me to think as though its going to be another Kadhal Kondein. But totally it let me down. The story is pretty simple Dhanush's father Pyramid Nataran understands todays youth generation & gives full liberty to his son on the other hand Diya's father Thalaivasal Vijay controls every activity of his daughter. Finally, what happens to these two characters is the Climax. From nowhere a new heroine would come into the picture & suddenly the hero would fall in love with her. There is nothing solid either in the story or the screen play. The director could have taken this story as a small serial in our satellite channels but not as a movie.

Dhanush has acted in the movie as though he has just come to while away his time. There is not even a single scene where he has proved or impressed the audience. The body language & expressions do not fit into the movie at all. If next movie goes the same then Dhanush has to be watched with our eyebrows up.

Other characters including the two heroines just pass away by our mind thats it. If one has to get a pat on the back in the movie then it is Pyramid Natarajan. He has done reasonably good & has done justice to the role he has taken in the movie.

Not a single song gets into your mind. You would appreciate to forget those numbers. I believe the director had tried something & had got something. At the end of the movie, the screen titled as Dreamt by Kastooriraja. But the audience wish to forget this Dream!

Bad Dream...huh !! I thought so. I was rather taken back when you said the beginning was like Kathal Konde. I didn't expect the movie to be ever compared to that classic.

BTW, Narsi are you eating up my job. Grrr...
