Correlation !

This weekend I was entertaining myself with two movies. One is Click and the other is Pudupettai. According to my perception, there exists a relation between the themes of the movie. The bottom line of the two movies is what are lost in the event of urge to become a big shot in society. Both try to emphasize "Growing to a position at what cost?"
Click is a techy kind of movie where the director Frank Coraci tries to explain his thoughts with a fiction play. On the other hand in Pudupettai, Selvaraghavan tries to explain with a realistic play. Obviously both the movies aren't to compare but the theme taken by them were similar to my perception. Both are totally different geographically, culturally and the scope of play. Both of the directors have tried to visualize their story with slight hiccups at some places. But as a movie buff you would like to enjoy the movies. Nothing big different from earlier movies we have seen but still both the movies make you to watch the full length.
Adam Sandler as Michael Newman and Dhanush as 'Kokki' Kumar have done remarkably well and can add the movie to their good performance list. In few scenes Sandler definitely makes you feel very pity and gets into you, in the emotional situations. Dhanush might not be acceptable in the fight sequences, still as a character he is adorable to watch. Dhanush has really tried to do his best and as always done well under his brothers' direction.
All the other characters [actors] had given their firm support to provide the right mix in the movies. Yuvan Shankar has done good music but not to his best. In the earlier movies of Selvaraghavan, Yuvan had performed his class but in Pudupettai the music doesn't gets deep. The climax of Pudupettai could have been done in much better way. Might be the director was under the pressure to release the movie as it was lagging behind its scheduled release.
Both the characters in the two movies have resemblances in today's youngsters. It is for them to know what is lost in trying to get what they want in short span.
